Ares (formerly Ares Galaxy) is free open-source and peer-to-peer software with primary goal of sharing pictures, movies, and audio files across the Ares network. This is one of the many apps that allow streamlined sharing of all types of content, which is not only transferred via its own decentralized supernode/leaf network but also via internal support for BitTorrent protocol. This makes Ares Galaxy an app that can control multiple facets of file sharing that are today popular on the internet.

Ares enables users to share any digital file including images, audio, video, software, documents, etc. You may now easily publish your files through the Ares peer to peer network. As a member of the virtual community, you can search and download just about any file shared by other users. Latest versions support BitTorrent protocol and Shoutcast radio stations. With Ares you can also join chat rooms or host your channel and meet new friends.

Interface of the Ares is not that much different from other similar file sharing apps, enabling both novices and seasoned users easy access to very powerful search tools, file listing, download management and customization options. Filesharing chat rooms
